My son Erik went back to the surgeon Monday for his checkup. He has had a ankle swelling problem the last few days--- so he has an ultrasound today to check for a blood clot. It's only 1 foot so I don't think it's water retension - so I'm a little concerned. I also just found out that he is on high blood pressure medicine too!!

He did get sick in recovery--I'm not surprised-- I do too. He goes back to the doctor in two weeks.

Mike's surgery is in almost 3 weeks. At this point we are trying to get stuff done-- like fencing - before he's out for awhile.

Had a great visit with Jim & Donna on vacation-- too bad they don't live closer. I got to visit with a few of my cousins. We started trying to stay in touch more when my sister was sick several years back. Since then, and since our kids are grown we try to get together a couple of times a year. Sometimes for lunch, sometimes with our husbands.
