Today is Claudette's 12th birthday-- it's so hard to believe that she was 3 1/2 when I got her. Doc's unofficial birthday was yesterday (April
Fools Day)
- he was 21.
We are trying to get geared up for warmer weather-- riding and "Chores". We got fertilizier and lime for the pasture yesterday and the fert had
DOUBLED since last spring. The lime went up too but not as much.
Time for a new soil test this summer too.
Mike has purchased the new fence posts for redoing one of the pastures. Of course-- when you are 6 inches ABOVE normal for rainfall for the year already--
it's going to be awhile before we start on that project too. They are expecting 2-4 inches of rain Thursday/Friday--
Jim & Donna are coming up for a visit Sunday- Mike, Donna & Jim's birthdays are in March- so we'll visit a little and have cake in their
"honor".
The horses get their shoes back on next Tuesday April 8th-- so maybe---- we'll get to start riding a little. Lots of our trails are horrible with the rain
and I really don't want to tear them up further. Over by Deams Lake alot of the trails are rocked-- so we will go over there if it's muddy.
Later in the month-- I'm hoping to ride with Cindy- wildaboutwalkin and her husband and a couple of her friends at Deams Lake.
Then - right after that- Mammoth Cave.
Everyone else is fine-- Erik & Regina have been getting stuff with the gift cards they received for wedding presents that they didn't get on their
regristry items. And-- they have contracted to get new windows in their house-- which they SO BADLY need!! -- all of the cash they received for presents went
straight into the window fund.
That's all for now----------
